Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has said that the 2019 general election will not be a walkover for the ruling All Progressives Congress. He said a lot of work needed to be done by all party members if President Muhammadu Buhari must be re-elected for a second term. Bello said this in his remarks during a dinner Buhari organised in honour of his young supporters at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday night. The governor noted that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party would not be a pushover and advised the APC members against taking anybody or anything for granted. The All Progressives Congress in  Kogi State has released the results of the House of Representatives primary election held across the local governments in the Central Senatorial District of Kogi State.  The results announced Tijani Damisa, Joseph Asuku Bello and Lawal Idris Mohammed as winners of Okene/Ogorimagongo, Adavi/Okehi, and Ajaokuta constituencies respectively.  While the party claimed that the polls were conducted freely and credibly, there were reported cases of irregularities and alleged malpractices and intimidation to the favour of anointed aspirants.  Recall that some aspirants including Mariam Oziohu Ahmed and Nasiru Usman Bello walked out of the St Andrews Venue of the Okene/Ogorimagongo over malpractices.
