2019 Elections Won’t Be a Walkover for APC, Kogi Gov Admits

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has said that the 2019 general election will not be a walkover for the ruling All Progressives Congress. He said a lot of work needed to be done by all party members if President Muhammadu Buhari must be re-elected for a second term. Bello said this in his remarks during a dinner Buhari organised in honour of his young supporters at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday night. The governor noted that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party would not be a pushover and advised the APC members against taking anybody or anything for granted. Kogi Central Senate: APC Primary Was Ignominious, a Charade and Bad Precept, Says Dalhatu Sheriff

Kogi APC Releases Results of House of Reps Primaries Across Kogi Central

The All Progressives Congress in  Kogi State has released the results of the House of Representatives primary election held across the local governments in the Central Senatorial District of Kogi State.  The results announced Tijani Damisa, Joseph Asuku Bello and Lawal Idris Mohammed as winners of Okene/Ogorimagongo, Adavi/Okehi, and Ajaokuta constituencies respectively.  While the party claimed that the polls were conducted freely and credibly, there were reported cases of irregularities and alleged malpractices and intimidation to the favour of anointed aspirants.  Recall that some aspirants including Mariam Oziohu Ahmed and Nasiru Usman Bello walked out of the St Andrews Venue of the Okene/Ogorimagongo over malpractices. The Kogi State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated the Governor-Elect of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola having scored the highest votes at the just concluded gubernatorial election. State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Jibril Abu in a congratulatory statement on Friday said the polls was free and credible, and showed that victory is the nature of the ruling party.  "Our victory at the polls can simply be said to be nothing but a decisive victory overtly birthed by divinity and seconded by humanity.
